SHIBLEE MUNIR is a popular contemporary artist with a background in miniature painting. In his work, the artist uses the formalist methods of Mughal court atelier artists. An age old technique, imbibing all the classical principles. His artworks address issues of today; our biases, reading of history, cultural imperialism, religion and politics etc.

Shiblee Munir also has academic degrees from the Naqsh School of Arts and Beaconhouse National University. In addition to being a practicing artist, Muneer lectures at the Institute of Visual Arts & Design of the Lahore College for Women University (LCWU), curates exhibitions and pursues Ms leading to Ph.D in studio practice at the University of Punjab.
