Hussain Chandio is a contemporary artist known for his depiction of Sindhi villages and rural life in interior Sindh, Jamshoro. His characters are ethnic, with deep, rich skin tones. The artist paints his characters from life, as seen from an aerial view. Hussain Chandio has exhibited his paintings at art galleries in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Dubai. His work first featured in a group show at Mehran Arts Council in 2006. Since then the prolific artist has exhibited at Unicorn Gallery, Institute of Arts & Design Jamshoro University, Coopera Gallery, Trunk Show UAE and many more. He is currently teaching art at the Centre of Excellence in Arts & Design, Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro.
